Can anyone explain what is examined in the annual class one.
is it just the haemoglobin?

Geraldn I think they have a pretty good look at your whole body, eyes, ears, heart, lungs, etc. Maybe your prostate too if your luck is in.....

I had mine last week and it is pretty much the same as an initial with a few exceptions:
No chest X-Ray
The hearing test is just replying to a whisper, but you do have a proper audiometry test at certain intervals.
Lung function is tested at certain intervals, but only the test where you blow down a "toilet tube", not the one where you have to try to keep the pen up the top of the chart.
ECG at certain intervals - I'm still every other year but soon to be annually!
I wear glasses, so every two years I have to bring a special form filled in by my optician - it is more comprehensive than a standard prescription.
On your JAA medical certificate, it will show you the frequencies of these extra examinations.
How much is the annual CAA renewel please??
