FI In malaysia

Good day chaps

Are any of you aware if there are any requirements for a FAA/JAA Flight Instructors in Malaysia ? Asking on behalf of a friends who is just come fresh form his training and looking for the first FI Job, he if a European national.

He will need to get a validation or Licence conversion and pass an FI Flight test mate. When I joined a School here they did all that for me but I had a UK National Licence and UK QFI rating. It appears that having a JAA CPL/ATPL and FI/A from UK seems to be more of a problem.
Best bet is apply to school's over here, Search engine should hunt some addresses down.
