Manx 202 (ATP), declared an emergency tonight, about 1815hrs, He was just coasting in at Wallasey VOR when I first heard him say that he was making it an emergency with a smell of burning in the cockpit. Although the landing runway was 27 at Liverpool, he elected to take 09, which was the nearest end for him from Wallasey, the wind was light anyway. Presume he landed ok. Anybody know more??

Since Emerald gave up scheduled pax svcs and stopped selling tickets on the LPL-IOM route, Euromanx have been utilising their ATP's but that's as much as I know......no doubt all worked out well . . . ?

Landing runway was 09, not 27. Yes they reported a burning smell in the flightdeck. Landed fire crews in attendance, and all over within 30 mins once on the ground.
