I 'did' course 173 at Middle Wallop in 1965, are there any such things as re-unions? Does the AAC still have an 'Open Day'?

All info greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go to www.aaca.org.uk (http://www.aaca.org.uk) - the AACA Homepage. The next open day is in September - see you there.

You could always try the Association tent at the Airshow (9/10 Sep). Always a good place to meet up with old friends and being on 173 I suppose they would be!! Sorry, sorry! My fingers ran away! I was on 284, I'll buy you a pint if you're there. http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/cool.gif

Mightygem - I was on 286 APC. Say hello to your Chief Pilot and tell him he owes me a pint or two. PC.

Hi Out of Balance

Afraid not Mightygem as I'd left by then but I was probably flying into some black hole down under wishing that I was. JC still owes PC a pint. Pete O'Twebe always was the smartest on 286.

I'm not a sprog - you're just a very, very old git :).

e-mail addresses are designed for wind-ups. Strangely I've never had a bite from the junior service in this country. The RAAF on the other hand....

Thanks Out of Balance, now back in touch with my last O.C. after 32 years!
And, for those of you with course numbers above 200, you probably missed the Integrated Air Troop era? Two Bell47G, one three-tonner, one Landrover FFR, an Artificer, three engineers and troop personnel to a total of ten! All positioned alongside your Regt. Unfortunately, for any one of a dozen reasons, never available for parades, duties etc. etc. (IF you had the right Boss, which we did!).

I was on Aircrewmans course No: 28 and APC No: 267. Is there anyone out there from this course, or round about that time?

If there are any Wattisham pprunes out there, I shall be doing a bit of TA at 659 at the end of next week. Come by and say "hi". I shall be wearing a red carnation and carrying a copy of the Times. ID yourselves by the phrase "Antons mother has gone to Paris this weekend".

I did my course in 1970 to 1971, the same Wings Ceremony with HRH Prince Charles. Anybody out there remember the course #? - And - Where can I get a copy of the Course picture??
To bring it closer, one infamous Capt Adrian Wray RMC, and a fixed wing instructor "Mcfrenzie" on the "Spitmunk". The only pie in the sky??? The AAC beaver losing a wing in a CB in Germany??
Been waiting for years to get in touch with fellow students.

White Jamaican. See the address for the AAC web page at the top of this thread,(from 'Out of Balance'). Once on the web-page you will have an Email facility to the Secretary, he is the font of all knowledge!
