SIA medical

I have been invited by SIA Cargo for tests.

I passed without any problem the sim test and interview. Was easy and low profile.
The medical gave me problems as I did not have all my records of a passed medical heart problem.
The medics there where willing to help, but they put me on assesment. SIA dismissed me without apparent reason. I know it has been because of the delay in claering my medical. One adice! If selected to go there, besure to have ALL records of medical (problems) to make sure the medics clear you the same day...Or you are out!

Whilst we're on the topic, I am also interested in SIA Cargo, but am concerned about my mild colour vision problem.

No porblem in AUS, NZ, or the US but does anyone know in SIA or the Singapore authority will allow it?

You are going to an ophtalmologist in Elisabeth Hospital. He will show you the standard colour tables with the dots and embedded two-digit numbers. If you pass this test, nobody will ever ask you any question. I do not know what happens if you don't see all this colour tables but I know a Captain who was there with me and he was unsure if he passes or not. I think it well all right. If you have difficulties your case goes to CAMB (Civil Aviation Medical Board) where all the specialists are. Every case will be treated individually.
