At approx 6PM today. Saw a high speed helicopter (not sure if Police) at the threshold of 09R, racing down the runway. Looked very odd. Any ideas?

LHR Ops have invested in a Jetranger to allow them to undertake runway inspections...how else could they achieve sensible inspections with the traffic levels??!!

I can think of worse things!!!!!!! Any application forms for the job!!!
They shouldn't have bothered - I inspect both runways and the taxiways every time I do H9 - they just had to ask!
