Never used this facility - but hopefully help is around the corner.

I " lost " my harddrive on Sunday.
Yesterday my new 80 Gig arrived and I started installation with my Laptop Recovery CD's.

All went well (I thought).

I wanted to split my hard drive into two drives (2 x 40's). (C & D)

I do not know what I did but I ended up with one 40 gig and 40 gig " free" but not allocated.

Question : How can I add another 40 gig to a D Drive ?

or

How can I make this a 80 Gig C drive instead of a 40 Gig ?

Please try and avoid telling me to start all over (again) as 560 Mb of updates has been done already :E

Cheers and thanks in advance !

You need to create a partition in the free space. (Either use FDISK or, if using XP, disk management.) Then format it.

if you want to increase the size of the present partition you'd either have to lose everything already installed by deleting the present partition and creating a new, larger, one or use a utility such as Partition Manager to enlarge the present one to fill the available space.
