So the new name for the Bond/BIH merger is Scotia Helicopters. Doesn't that sound a bit like Skoda Helicopters? S-c-o-t-i-a must be an abbreviation for something, any ideas?

A name from a comedy programme. Remember HIGH LIFE on BBC 2 the airline was Air Scotia and the pilot was Capt Duff who never knew where he was going. I hope that this is not an omen and that they don't end up with a Tartan colour scheme a la Ayling Bob.

Apparently suggestions were sought from staff for the new name, the successful respondee (allegedly) suggested Scotia, based on the TV Prog and did not expect to be taken seriously ! Long live Captain Duff

Canadian Helicopters are behind it all so maybe it's something to do with Some Clot Over There In Alberta???

Or maybe that should be the people who selected the name in Aberdeen? SCOTIAberdeen...
