This is going out to any EMS personel, looking for a standard to adopt for our company. We are a on call EMS operator as well as a general charterer where the pilots do not have to "stand to" at the hangar. When there is a need for us we will respond within 15 minutes and be airborne. Many times we get called out, drive to the hangar, hop in the machine flash it up, call dispatch to arrange paramedics good to go, only to be told we have been cancelled.
Do you guys have a standard "call out' fee ie. 2 hour mins that get applied to cancelled trips? And if so who pays for this or does your company just eat the mins.
Any input would be appreciated.
Cheers
