Watts our ex Eurocopter man doing - thought they were all needed to run the 911 EMS job or has that all gone south?

Not sure 'watt' the eurocopter man will be doing now, rumour has it that the boss had a fallout with netcare and then caught a serious wobbly and fired the lot; the eurocopter man then packed his bags and walked out......only the boss and the d.fenestron left

Poor show by the owners and operator :} ! These guys have really had a bad deal. I believe the CEO of the company got involved in doing ems flights and some near incidents and misses were reported whilst going to land to fetch patients:confused:
where is CAA in all this

Interesting to find out if the man is licenced to do so and if so how much experience he has, maybe he can teach the Flight For Life pilots a thing or two!

To the pilots, I only know a couple of you; good luck and I hope you get sorted out real soon with new employment, you have all done an excellent job and are well respected pilots in SA :ok:

The CEO is Com pilot, and I'm sure he's allowed to fly if his insurance allows him to??? Don't think he has a lot of experience though!

With regards to the "bulb";) heard in the hangar yesterday, that he's on his way back to Eurocopter!

Watt - going back to Eurocopter you say? - well I am off to place my order for another skwirrel as I am sure to get a good deal then?

Sounds like the relationship at the top of the food chain went horribly skew in a very short space of time around Friday last week - then the kneejerk reaction and the poor guys were told to go. This whole take over was doomed from the start.

Another sad day in South African aviation - the good guys get bombed after putting all the effort in!!.

Heard on Monday that Eurocopter wants more light in Cape Town.

Maybe they can take the "Bonedome' and his Eurocopter news gatherer and make CT really bright!!

See this hit the newspapers earlier this week in the Beeld (front page) and Citizen. The pilot that died in the R 22 crash over the weekend could have survived but due to the fact the ceo of Helimax had pulled the aircraft and fired the pilots the poor individual died! :( Talk on the block is that there are now court cases looming from medical aids, smells bad to me

Whats funny is that RT (ceo) has denied firing the 6 pilots in the news reports but the pilots are out of work and hunting around for new employement, stinky one this, spoke with one of the pilots yesterday and it seems this one is still going to get rather ugly, don't blame them at all, spot on Canthover, doomed from the beginning as so many predicated :ok:

As for the Eurocopter man, :D a lucky escape out of the Helimax :suspect: outfit and well removed from the RT factor whom are fast getting bad reputations in the industry:eek:

Sounds to me that we may be in for more than just "Wattage" down South!! Word on the street is, the old Bell man that has been flying around in a EC bird, alot latly, was planning on more involvment in EC than just casual flying. Some talk of sales & what not? Intresting time ahead at CTI.:ugh:

RT is a shrewd business man, and I'm sure that he would'nt have done something this dumb to fire the whole lot, but then one never knows.

Who's willing to tell us the three sides to the story? His, their's and the truth?:ok:

Hangar rumour has it that the "bulb" is also not so easy going as he makes out to be. Prima donna of note the walls say!;) Is it true?

I don't know "the bulb" well but the general warning out there is to watch your back when you get associated with this one, well the proof is in the pooding mate and when one looks at what has happened at Helimax with the pilots one wonders. Wonder how the fenestron character is holding out as he and the RT seem worlds apart, dont think he will hang around for much longer as he is well known for moving around the industry jumping from one outfit to the next :suspect:

Seems RT is not only a shrewd businessman but a bit of a 'Sigmun Freud' type, I hear he told some of the pilots that they were psychologically unstable :ouch: and therefore unfit to fly is helicopters  I believe 2 of the Star pilots have since been reemployed and the rest have been fired; doesn't sound right at all :yuk: anyone been in contact with the Star pilots to hear what really happened. Agreed :ok: this stinks of some bad smelly stuff.

Was there not a huge ?? with the EC120 accident in Durban where the Bulb had a training booklet hidden in his desk and then could not understand why the industry was up in arms.

Then of course look at the fenestron's career history - was he not one of the 4 Oke's - mmmm.

So it all makes sense - these are big players - and they have played big - too big!

We all knew the Helimax saga was doomed from the beginning - it was just a matter of time.

Who's going to be the next money'd fella that they latch onto with some bright idea?:yuk:

You guys have it all wrong... hehehe:p

If in doubt, have some balls and contact Helimax, RT, LL, Fenestron or The Bulb and ask them directly what's up.

Or even contact Y, the owner of the EC 135 what's up, as he is the employer of the ex STAR pilots, not Helimax...

Your "facts" are ungrounded, unlike the EC135 with VERY expensive mechanical maintenance due before it can fly again.

Thus, no EC135, no night service and therefore no requirement for "extra" pilots. All politics but not really to do with Helimax...

They are a helicopter management set-up, not a helicopter operator...

That’s only my opinion.....hehehehe:p

Disagree, look at the recent events that have happened over the past few weeks with pilots being fired and told to leave by RT. Pilots were paid by helimax and under their employ with Rt weilding the big stick. Interesting that his mate aka "the globe" had a runin with the man and walked out surrending his shares and everything in the company:confused: where there is smoke there is fire:eek:

Here is a cherry for the cake CAA closed down Helimax and all ems flight operations on Friday due to negligence and non compliance with sops :ok: bout time not surprised if one looks at RT ems experience and skills when it comes to running an operation of this magnitude

An excellent track record Rt! Amazing how things have just gone southwards within the last 12 months in the ems industry, ems crashes, unscrupilous operators, deaths etc maybe helimax should join forces for the ems specialists down in EL :yuk: continue like this a repeat of last sunday's Rc ems accident is well on the cards:(

Up and running again I hear; agree with you the ems industry is :yuk: and heading for disaster at this rate

Sounds like sour grapes boys....hehehehe:p

Your facts are still wrong... tsk, tsk...

Helimax uses highly qualified and experienced pilots in the field of EMS and some of the EMS pilots used by Helimax, i.e. ex "STAR" pilots have been doing this kind of work at night when you were still in nappies.

Seems like you are still in nappies CDP...hehehe:p

Obviously you don't have balls and never contacted Helimax as I suggested...

Their maintenance is excellent, done by F, ex Eurocopter maintenance, taken on especially for his knowledge and ability.

Helimax's helicopters, the AS350B2's are relatively new and well equipped. Furthermore it is a strictly daylight operation, without the EC135 flying.

So why then do you suggest that with Helimax and the EMS fraternity involved, there be a danger of having a repeat of the BO105 accident? I also don't recall any other EMS helicopters having accidents in South Africa in years. Minor incidents, maybe, but then the risks are so much more than in charter.

CDP, has RT done you in somehow, were you not good enough to fly one of his helicopters or are you just jealous of his achievements?

Seems like you are a bit nervous of the man, an accomplished business man that yes, most probably made his first million just as you were weaned of your dummy and nappies...hehehehe:p

Mark my words, Helimax will be around a while longer, maybe by the time your grand children are off there nappies, the team will retire, only maybe, who knows, RT might still be wielding that big stick that gets you shivering....hehehehe:p

hehehe - rather a bold post considering that everyone concerned is sitting around with their fingers up their noughts (rumour has it, hehehe) due to the operator's licence being suspended today. Or is this just rumour? hehe

It is quite clear that you are either trying to wind everyone up or are plain doff. Is it really necessary to end most sentences with your dumb ass hehehehe:p kak?

A quick skwiz at other threads that you have attempted to reply on show the same magnitude of your intellectual genius - fool!

Rumour has it that some of the STAR pilot's are still looking for wek! - so if you have such hot gen on RT's great doings then please inform the industry.

Canthover, Honeybadger, CDP, Bosbefok - Why so silent???

Is it perhaps because all is well and flourishing at Helimax? I told you so…. hehehehe:p

Canthover, maybe I am only a little dof, but I sure got your attention. I laugh in your face…. hehehe:p Phone RT, he might offer you a job, but don’t tell him you canthover… Hehehe:p

Miragepilote you have to have the most irritating way of expressing yourself that I have ever encountered. I know that this is off the thread but your childish drivvel makes it extremely difficult for me to take ANYTHING you say seriously.

I am with Canthover on this one!

Life's short,

As you said, right off the topic, but...

My style of writing is to provoke a response, to have some fun and to get people to think.

This forum can be so serious that seeing things in a light-hearted way brings some humour to a world were nobody grants anyone else any space anymore and people only have bad things to say in an living industry (aviation in SA) that is forever changing, developing and expanding.

The only constant in life is change, even in the EMS industry.

Staleness and decay evolves into poor service, and according to me, this is where I see RT saw the gap in the market and grabbed some specialists in the field like LL to make it happen.

Helimax are providing a service that involves helicopter management. In my humble opinion Netcare and STAR happened to them because they are damn good at delivering that service.

The rest is sour grapes.

As seen again my style is very effective in getting people's back up, as I see yours.

But like your user name - Life'sShort-FlyFast - I would say some humour in the short life we live on earth isn't a bad thing and not all of us can fly fast, but we sure all can laugh, even if it is at ourselves.

I prefer laughing. The saying goes, laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone...

It holds true in any industry and in every aspect of life. The people that were affronted by the changeover of management must move on, or I will just keep on laughing at them, and the emoticons say it so well....hehehehe :p
