Saw it in the Straits Times Interactive : Valuair pilots told to take up to $2000 paycut or go......

What's the inside story, anyone? Cheers!

If true, not unusual to loose salary and or benefits in S. E Asia if times are difficult.

Just ask any SQ, CX or BI pilots for starters.

I'm no insider, but our rumour says that Valuair's working conditions get adjusted to JetStar's, which are slightly lower.

Another Straits Time's article says all flying personal of Valuair can keep their job in "Orange Star".

Bunches of pilots applied for Tiger and quite a lot of them will be taken, but not those who left Tiger last year.

$2000 is pretty hefty a paycut. I guess it's only in Singapore that it gets by without any backlash.

Fret not! for A320 drivers, demand outstrips supply further up North, North east and North West.

Well, there's these old canto sayings, "Can't work for the East family, work for the one in the west" & " Happy are those that bail out early"
