I heard over 60 nationalities on their website but is that real ?
i am talking about Flight crew
I was speaking with a friend of mine he was insisting that EK DOES NOT employ any Arabs or even Africans neither German,Dutch even though i told him i know (from pprune) there are Italian,French,Indian,Saudi (?) ect...crew working for EK

Can anyone confirm ? i am sure your answers are way accurate than his.
What is the "ambiance" of work in EK when you fly with different flight crews ?

Don't get me flamed :ok:

Never really counted the nationalities - but I gues 60 or so might be right... the website should know after all.... ;)

Just for your friends mentioning... I do know a couple germans, belgiums, hungarian, austrian, of course british, french, ... and pilots from all parts of africa (south africa, zimbabwe, ....) flying for EK.
60 seems a big number - but somehow it adds up quickly if you throw in some of the "smaller" countries as well- like jamaica, mexico, kroatia, .... and you only need 1 from a country to make it count!

Above are the official list, based on what passport's people decide to use or claim, not necessarily their actual nationality.
After all most Samoans have Kiwi passports.....
At the time of this list, there was 59 nationalities, so a current number of over 60 would seem reasonable.

Sorry this is off topic but is there a list like that for the cabin crew showing their nationalities.

There will be a list, but I doubt you will get access to it, this one was hard enough to get. Maybe Global Nomad could help, as he will have access to it ;)
There are I believe over 106 nationalities in the Cabin Crew. If you are a nationality they don't have, you are almost guaranteed a job

Wait till the 777 folks at PIA are freed from their bond. The Number will shoot up like crazy.

So what does that mean. The number is increasing everyday, with all different nationalities. I believe EK goes for the individuals and not necessarily his type ratings or nationality. There maybe certain ups and downs at EK, but they do a bloody good job at hiring pilots.

Hey ALPH, I am not going to do the adding up but there aint NO WAY 1200 pilots in your figures to make up that breakdown. Lets try again or get the calc out and proove me wrong.

Like all PPRUNE, a rumour,is as good as how much you believe it!!

Critical,
You need to get out a bit more instead of bashing your calculator.

These figures are based on 1142 pilots, they were accurate on the day they were published by HR, which was about 6 months ago, if you can provide better information feel free.

That's the best question I've seen on pprune in a long time....
Probably for that matter - the most important!!

Cabin Crew are, at the end of the day far more interesting than the crusty old sea dog perched on his bench next to you!!

Lets see some figures.....
