Anybody have any details why the annual charter flight for the Blackpool International Dance Festival (Easter) , usually an Icelandair 757 which has operated into Blackpool ex Keflavik for many years is switching to Liverpool for next year according to the ad for the company peddling seats/tour on the empty return
sectors.

Bit of a kick in the teeth to lose such a prestigious Operator after so many years.

Anybody know why ????????

Dont know exact times and dates, but perhaps due to Icelandair launch of KEF-MAN services ?

Maybe they've heard there will be nowhere to park as the car parking spaces will have houses on them, so the cars will be parking on the apron, so there's no room for a/c parking, but iut is (nt) an airport is it ?
shame, these go back many many years, to the 1970's at least - when it was braathens safe..........
