The Phantom poster
15th Sep 2005, 02:39
A "who am I?" thread!

Excitement plus here on JB!!!

First clues:

I am a regular poster on JB.
I have blue eyes.

Who am I? (Prooner name)

djk
15th Sep 2005, 03:12
how many guesses do we get?

Onan the Clumsy
15th Sep 2005, 04:23
Very good idea for a thread :ok:

It's djk and his earlier post was there to put us off the trail :8

The Phantom poster
15th Sep 2005, 04:38
As many as you need...

When, and if, I am identified, I will relinquish my pseudono, psuedoyno, soo-dough-nymph, my nick name and the joy may continue! :ok:

Nice try Onan, but you have the dubious pleasure of being the first to get it WRONG! :D

PPRuNe Radar
15th Sep 2005, 06:13
Would it be cheating if I used some Admin tools which I have at my disposal ?? :O :}

ORAC
15th Sep 2005, 06:21
Darth Nigel?

Atlas Shrugged
15th Sep 2005, 06:34
Animal, mineral or vegetable??

Avtrician
15th Sep 2005, 06:43
Bluey is that you???

maggioneato
15th Sep 2005, 06:47
The one who seems to spend more time on here than anyone else is Jerricho, so that's my guess. :p

The Invisible Cat
15th Sep 2005, 06:52
One thunk you're The Invisible Man

The Phantom poster
15th Sep 2005, 07:38
PPrune Radar - Yes.
ORAC - No.
Atlas - Animal, I think.
Avtrician - No, it's not!
maggioneato - He couldn't think of a clever thread like this.
TIC - One thunk wrong.

Next clue:

Aside from JB, one other Forum is where I post the most.
Another forum that I enjoyed was closed down.

Kaptin M?

Are we going to play the Irish version - the winner of this round gets to set the question for the next round?

Parapunter
15th Sep 2005, 08:07
Are you a glidder pilot oh great & noble Phantom?

tony draper
15th Sep 2005, 08:37
Hmmm ,let me see, a very precise and exact use of punctuation, them little dots commas little hooky things ect,a precise choice of words and wording, the choice of the words themselves, one would suggest that the words "I have blue eyes" is not the kind of thing a chap would use in this context points to you being female, or if male you work in the fashion industry or are a ladies hairdresser.

Bre901
15th Sep 2005, 08:55
Building upon Master Drapes' hypothesis and the animality of The Phantom poster, I would suggest

redsnail

timmcat
15th Sep 2005, 09:00
Ones guess is 'Airship'.... :D

tony draper
15th Sep 2005, 09:02
Nah!,Reddo though definatly female is one of the lads, can't see reddo using the term "excitment plus" sounds at tad undergraduate or sixth form to me that does, or the kind of term a cat owning spinster who conciders herself "with it" would use.
:E

flapsforty
15th Sep 2005, 09:13
Ok no tools then. ;)
Closed down forum was the 'political discussions' one. Other forum SLF or History & Nostalgia?
Next clue?

The Phantom poster
15th Sep 2005, 09:22
UniFoxOs - No to the guess, why not to the question.
Parapunter - Alas, no.
tony draper - I have posted under this name on another JB thread that was intended to be a clue to gender!
phoenix sun - Is that a question or a guess???
Cheerio - Your latter piece of logic is excellent, however, I am not big on the Village People.
Bre901 - No.
timmcat - Ones guess is wrong. ;)
tony draper - I don't like the feline species.
flapsforty - None of those, think a bit laterally.

Next clues:

The other forum where I also post frequently is a little slimmer than it was.
I do not fly, in an operative sense.

henry crun
15th Sep 2005, 09:26
Dunnunda and Godzone is a lot slimmer than it was last week.

phoenix son
15th Sep 2005, 09:26

Parapunter

Danny
15th Sep 2005, 09:31
Buster Hyman, will you please bog off and stop wasting all that bandwidth. Either that or do the decent thing and get a Personal Title! :*

Sheesh! The audacity of some people! :suspect:

The Phantom poster
15th Sep 2005, 09:33
henry crun - A point to you sir! :ok:
phoenix sun - Well, the guess is wrong. Tasty is hard to tell, but tall is a word that could describe my physical presence.
parapunter - No, I am not you, good try though! I fly, when I can, for pleasure, but I am SLF.
Danny - Not a bad guess, however, I imagine it wasn't a guess....

Busted folks...sorry! :( Oh well, back to the "Lets count to 1000" thread!

flapsforty

djk
15th Sep 2005, 12:30

He couldn't think of a clever thread like this.

tony draper

What amazes me, is that some people still haven't got it!!!

Anyway, who's next then? Hey flapsforty, how do I relinquish this username for another to use? I'd ask Captain Grumpy, but....:E

Howard Hughes
15th Sep 2005, 22:07
Why don't you just PM the user name to someone you think will make an interesting challenge!!:ok:

Onan the Clumsy
15th Sep 2005, 22:11
Doesn't everyone already know the user name. Perhaps a useful PM would contain the password

airship
16th Sep 2005, 14:29
Haven't read beyond the first page. Well you should uhmmm, make the effort. There are sometimes pleasant rewards on page 3... :ok:

16th Sep 2005, 14:33
Nobody should be allowed to post unless they've read at least the last three pages of any thread.

Buster Hyman
16th Sep 2005, 15:25
Yes angels, timing is everything innit!

I blame it on the airline that went belly up just before it was chartered to take 120 or so fans to Bucharest! You see, it's the vibe man!:E

djk
16th Sep 2005, 15:54

tall and tasty
16th Sep 2005, 16:05
tall n' tasty...?

Definately not me I have green eyes sometimes they may be blue but through tears rather than anything else.

But as to who you, The phantom poster, is, I have not been on the forums long enough to know of one that was closed down so could you help out a maiden in distress and give a clue to that forum

TnT ;)

Buster Hyman
16th Sep 2005, 23:05
djk...I just double checked. The result was a direct effect of the supporter imbalance at the stadium.:ok:

TnT...You haven't really read the entire thread have you?:}

SyllogismCheck
17th Sep 2005, 00:25
Good job keeping an additional 'plane load of those imbalanced supporters well away then. ;)

Kaptin M
18th Sep 2005, 01:19
We need more clues, PP - but I'll take a stab  and nominate Buster as the subject under discussion.

Buster Hyman

I don't know how you do it Kaptin!! 1000 points to you!

SC Yes, but it was good of the LPL fans to show support...

Kaptin M
18th Sep 2005, 09:30
It was your first clue, Buster - "I have blue eyes..
Knowing that the weather's been a little chilly in Melbourne Town of late, I recalled the old song, "Don't it make your browneyes blue".
Cold dunny seats in Winter, brrrrrrrrrrrr.

Buster Hyman
18th Sep 2005, 13:44
The trick is to take a little time beforehand and...err..."waste" a bit on the seat first!:ugh:
