Many many moons ago I used to receive annually from somewhere in Newcastle a slip of paper telling me how many 6 pence
(old money) units I had accumulated towards my pension.
What happened to this?
Was I ripped off again by the state?
Is their some feather plucker out there in PP land who can enlighten me.
The question is of interest as I am reaching THAT age.

How to get a statement (http://www.direct.gov.uk/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/PensionsAndRetirement/StatePension/StatePensionArticles/fs/en?CONTENT_ID=10014008&chk=eGgdq6) should help.

Yes done that and tells me I will get 93.90 per week of which 80.41 is the basic pension (must have missed a few national insurance contributions somewhere, too many job changes over the years)
However no breakdown of the 13.49
extra.
