Who know's which Auto pilot Coastair has on the J31 (or maybe they dont have a Auto Pilot)

I``m not sure about the designation but you can see it on this picture of a BX J31 cockpit: http://www1.airpics.com/avimg/big/33073.jpg (Below the caution panel on the glareshield)

I think that is the flight director and not the AP cause i've seen other J31s with an AP on the place where the radalt is located

Think they have AP on half their fleet (7 jetstreams or so?). Only the English could come up with the idea of designing an aircraft that size without AP as standard.

When I was there only 2 out of 4 had autopilot FAJ and FAV now days I am not sure since they have few new ones.

You are absolutely correct, the panel below the glareshield is for the FD only. I can`t confirm this but i was told that the A\P fitted BX J31`s have the Sperry SPZ 200 unit.
