Wish I could see those pictures Randy but they don't show up on my screen. Probably my box I guess. Or the lines. Or my screen. or my town. Gotta love this living in the bush..

Links to geocities.com don't seem to work any more.
Don't know why.

Thanks Helidrvr The pics are only good if people can see 'em. :) Hey, is there anything I can do, so that you don't have to ride to the rescue everytime ???

Cheers

Randy,

It would appear that there is a problem with using Geocities, so the short answer is: get another site to upload your pix to.

If you haven't got one available, just email me your pictures and I'll send you the URL to use as soon as I get around to uploading them. You may have to wait a few hours for this, but eventually I get around to it.

Helidrvr I moved the pics to a new site, and they seem to work much better now. If I have any more probs, then I'll e-mail them to ya. Thanx for all the work you went to, I appreciate it. :)

Pac Rotors these were all taken during fire ops.

The first one is of me slinging out gear from a forward fire cache. I asked one of the guys on the ground to take the pic with my camera.

The next one I took while the 205 was moving fuel to a fire fuel cache.

The last one I took when we were working really hard :) just after a loaded patrol. My job is so tough sometimes that I sometimes don't leap out of bed in the morning !! :)

Just from my observations it seems the
Canadians like the 205s for fire work while the USFS prefers ( i think requires)the twin
212s. Do you know the reasons for this.
I have seen 204s working fires during BLM fires during 1994 -1997 seasons. Im not sure if BLM still allow single engines mediums.

Larry I don't know about the U.S., as I haven't been down there. The 204 is still quite popular in Canada for fire work. The crews that I've worked with love the 205. They like having the extra leg room, and being able to see out the front. :)

Randy,
is that Yellow 205 parked on the river just west of Frank's Channel? I think I recognise the spot.

Ditchy the spot was about 25 miles north northeast of Bissett, Man. If I had one of my maps, I could be a little more specific.
