Virgin Digital WMA files

I've made a bit of an arse of this as I downloaded a bunch of music I haven't heard for ages in the hope of downloading onto the ipod but just got a reply from Virgin that the WMA files aren't compatible.

Anyone recommend a converter to MP3 and will I lose the license?

I use a program that came with my mp3 player which can be downloaded here (http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc/support/b2c_downloadcenter_detail.jsp?eUser=&mobile=N&oid=63958&cntType=SW&cntId=188230&lang=ST) from samsung. It will convert wma-mp3 and vv.
