Very Interesting story. Alot of dedicated men and a huge budget were involved but they acheived a huge amount by collecting all the data they did and through all the flight tests and trial & error they overcame a lot of the problems they encounterd as they conducted each flight test. . So I suppose you could say the Information learned was worth the Financial Cost Involved. Too bad though about the pilot that was killed in the 2nd A/C crash.
