My wife wants to move back to the home country and I was wondering if I can instruct (and then later fly) in France?

I understand that I have to get the JAA licenses on top of the FAA ones but it seems I can do that (most of it) here in the states. I would have CFI/I and Multi engine as well by that time.

Would there be anything else I need to do? I would speak OK French and have a right to work, and about 350TT.

How much does it pay?

Thanks/Merci

I bielieve You will need to pass the JAA ATP exams in order to convert...
Regarding instruction, in France most of the instructor I know do it for free!

Good luck!

Actually, there are flying schools in France, who pay their instructors, but be aware the situation is pretty difficult for pilots those days here . Even getting an instructor job is not an easy one .

Bonne chance and keep us informed
