Hi there

Just started with nj, and was wondering where people park their cars when departing from Gatwick as their gateway.

I suppose would also be useful to know when leaving from Heathrow too.

Any tricks regarding cheap parking from any old hands would be very welcome.

Anyone who tells you about free parking at Harrods (Heathrow) is having you on. It used to be free but as there are so many of us using Heathrow now there's no room. In fact BAA have warned that anyone found in the GA or Harrods car-park when not operating an aircraft out of LHR will be clamped.

Afraid you'll just have to bite the bullet and pay Express Parking £700 a year (if there are any of the passes allocated to NJE left).

Alternatively there is Purple Parking but they are miles from the airport and more expensive.

As for Gatwick the very few parking spaces there were ruled out of bounds long ago.
