Anyone heard if the above contract has been awarded yet? I heard a rumour CHC had lost it but this was not from a known reliable source

I think the only competition was Bristow who as far as I am aware, withdrew their bid when the oil companies insisted on Dauphin helicopters of which Bristow have none. A cursory check was made on buying in a few from the States but the cost of bringing them up to UK offshore standards with IHUMS etc made the contract uneconomical.

IHUMS =. .Intigrated Health and Usage Monitoring System, a system that monitors vibrations, Nr, ToT, Ng,and a hundred more peramiters to enable miantainance scheduling and excedance checking on the helicopter in flight

Anyone remember who's contract it was before CHC 'bought' it????. .. .Heard a rumour that they were bidding for it.... .. .Any truth to that???

Also hear today that *bond offshore* have pulled out of the bidding,,,,just not quite ready yet to venture further,,??
