Snowbird fleet currently grounded at Thunder Bay. May miss some airshows or a lot of them. Questions being asked about whether the 114s are too old and whether there should be a demonstration team at all. They are older than most of the pilots who fly them. Aircraft are not sked to be replaced until 2020.

Rollingthunder, of course there should be a demo team and just because the jets are more than 30 years old means diddly squat.
I flew on the team 20 years ago and we were having engine ́ssues`then, before that there were other problems. It is a fact of life with single engine aircraft.

I guess Droid will be buying the `packer`a bottle of something nice.

Press on boys. :ok: :ok: :ok:

The Red Arrows' jets are the best part of 30 years old and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's oldest Spit is 65 years old...should we ground them??

I say let the SnowBirds fly if their jets are considered airworthy after their short down-time to assess.
