Just wondered if anyone had any first hand experience on the Trident Simulator in the London Area!

Thanks in advance for the information!

Yes, its great, absolute bargain, fantastic fun, good for sim ride checks and great for PPLs who fancy playing airline pilot for a day.

Unfortunately it broke about a year ago and i'm not sure if its fixed yet.

Anyone know?

That's a shame, it's a great experience.

A real hairy-chested sim, which needed 3 hands to fly it - 1 for the yoke, 1 for the throttle, and 1 for the trim wheel. :)

Yah Sadly it's still shagged.
Andy is working hard on it but there's billions of miles of cables etc etc!

Would love to have another bash at it as it really is a great sim for your raw data work!

He has a DC9 sim in boxes, we should badger him to get that fixed up!

Yes "Trim, Trim, Trim". Trimming is definitely a skill one masters after walking out of that Trident Sim!

Nearly Man - I wasn't aware of the DC9 Sim - Sounds wonderful! Do you know if he purchased it with a view to market it in the same was as the Trident?

Thanks

I'm going to YFC later this month for an hour or two in their 732 sim. Haven't been before so can't comment on them, but looking forward to it, and as you say its a bit cheaper than a more advanced efis sim.

Cheers

I've had a few fun hours in Andy's Trident sim (ask InFin about the use & function of the remote 'reset' switch... :D ). Very good value. What was the bit that broke?

Superpilot did you mean VC9 ?
Yup it was deffo in operation around the early 80s as was the Viscount.
If I recall right it was in the same BA sim centre as the L-1011 sim in loverly downtown Hounslow not far from the fleabag boozer the (Ariel?)they put us up in.
