A mate of mine lives on the western outskirts of Newbury ( UK, for those not in the know ) just opposite a piece of land called "Skinner's Green".
A few weeks ago, a helicopter landed there - anyone out there know who it was, and how permission was a) sought and b) obtained ? My mate's neighbour, who saw the helicopter, could only describe it as "a helicopter", so I've no further details on the machine itself.
The reason I ask is that some time ago I went to the trouble of writing to the land owners ( after foot and mouth ) asking for permission to land an R22 in the field, as it's just opposite my mate's house. The land owners, as is their right, declined permission.
If you were the pilot, or know who the pilot was, could you drop me a line to my email - [email protected] - as I have some questions about how I could get to land there.
