TBirds grounded while an investigation is underway to establish how the two jets came into contact with eachother.

Six F-16 planes landed safely at the Gary/Chicago Airport in Gary, Ind., after the afternoon incident, and no one was injured, officials said. Air Force spokesman Rob Lazaro said he did not know what kind of object had fallen from the plane.

Looks like Rob needs to add the words 'missile launcher pylon' to his vocabulary.

He reacted brilliantly and nobody got hurt (is he shorter than he was before the ejection?).

Is he still flying a desk in Washington???

Are they taking the cost of the a/c out of his pay check?

I guess he must have been a good pilot to get selected for the team in the first place, but this sort of error in front of a big crowd, when the purpose of the flight is to demonstrate the excellence of the Air Force, can't be acceptable, surely.

'A superior pilot uses superior judgement to avoid having to demonstrate superior skills'.
