23rd Aug 2005, 01:54
Rich I gave Aotw the four points for SOTW 3 because he had the games in order as they appeared in the song and that is how I had the answer written down. The wording of the question is a little ambiguous in that I didn't ask that however, so have three points for Twister, Game Of Life and Risk. :D

It seems like only yesterday,
I didn't have a clue...

It seems like yesterday,
But it was long ago......

Gotcha! :E

Rainbow those were excellent choices for T19, so much so I went back and verified my source, but unfortunately....
It's on side 7 of the Biograph collection, and Dylan used to introduce the live version as "This is a song about marriage."

Sorry Rushy, I owed you a point there for "spam." My bad. :O
There are two adjectives that go with the spam that make up the other two words. ;)

One now that Cooda's been here.

Yeah, I'm Sulking. Why does my name appear smaller than everyone else?

Damn sure my fellow quizmeister is paying me back for not giving him any points last quiz..........:hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

24th Aug 2005, 01:06
Yeah Cooda I saw you lurking there last night. So that's what happened, he stole yer answers. :D
Have a point for wonderful spam.

Don't sulk. :) The Star part is right, but yer confusing it with the Banana Boat Song, or summat.
Actually the first ship on the scene was the MV Finnpulp, but why let the name of a wood scow spoil a good ditty. ;)

24th Aug 2005, 01:21
Oh then the ship Banana Star, comes steamin' through the night,
She sees the Castle blazin' and 'tis a terrible sight.

:hmm: :ok:

Here's a few clues, since something just came up for tomorrow evening and I'll be late getting back.

L16..An important rose? by some French guy.
One of my 6th or 7th fave songs.
L18..If known by their first names, the group would be Keith, Greg and Carl.

T16..They sure as heck did change when Dylan allows a song to be used as a commercial for a financial institution.
T28..It ain't me3.
T33..Dunno if they changed all 15 cars and the 3 conductors.

24th Aug 2005, 03:20

25th Aug 2005, 09:44
19. Is this a trick question PB? Although he wrote "Sara" for his wife, this also contains the words "I'd taken the cure and had just gotten through, Stayin' up for days in the Chelsea Hotel, Writin' "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" for you."

So I guess it could be either!!

Got home and dug out my copy of "Emerson Lake and Palmer" last night. Record deck still works! My lyrics are - "He had white horses and ladies by the score......"

Do you have a different version dunnunda PB?

Cranked it up for the organ crescendo, must get better speakers!

Newswatcher, have a point for Lucky Man. For some reason, I screwed up the clue, and made it seem he only had one horse. I transcribed the clue wrong when I posted the quiz, and never caught the mistake even after editing. :O

Rainbow, after pondering the issue I'll allow a point for Sara, since that song really is about his first wife. The answer I was looking for was Isis. I found that info on a Dylan infosite, and the forum moderator never refuted it. Also, during live performances, he used to introduce the song as "This is a song about marriage" and the first line goes "I married Isis on the fifth day of May." :D
