Can anyone supply me with the quote that goes along the lines of the air being as inherently dangerous as the sea, but less forgiving? I've seen it with a picture of an old biplane hung up in a tree, but can't remember it properly.

"Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity, or neglect."

- Original author unknown, dates back to a World War II advisory.

"If anybody ever tells you anything about an aeroplane that you can't understand it, you can take it from me, it's all balls."
