evening,

i know this is a long shot....

Does anybody know what going on at man tonight regarding flight 2442 of FCA?, theyre were scheduled to fly out at 16:40, my mother phoned up flightline to see what was happenening and she got aload of BS, the assistant said "theyre on the runway now", that was a load od BS as i was listening to my scanner, anyway just got a call from my auntie who'm was on the flight, and she said theyre having technical problems with the a/c, so i just wondered if anybody knew anything?my week couldnt get any worse, my grandfarther is lying in a hospital bed, fighting for his life, with my v.tired nan beside him, my two relatives are both fearfull of flying, and now we get this, v.sad

hope you guys can shed some light on this situation,

It wont leave the runway unless it is airworthy.....Its always difficult with tech delays but it does happen. Alot of the time the people on the other end of the phone dont have the answers so its difficult for them too..... Just try and be calm.

Regards.......and good luck

This flight took a 4hr 15 min delay due to unscheduled maintenance because of a tech problem @ MAN from 15:45z to 19:00z.

The flight is/was due to depart at 19:45z. As Rowley said they will not let it leave if it is not safe to do so.

Scott,

I can confirm that t/off was at 20:20z and should arrive @ PMI @ 22:27z

In ref to FCA2486 this has had to also go into maintenance (completely unrelated to FCA2442). This has an ETD of 23:00 and is currently running with a 4hr delay.

Scott,

No worries. They wouldnt have gone anywhere if it wasnt safe to do so. As with any airline "Safety is Paramount".

The engineering problems are far to technical for me!!!
