My first trip to an airshow at Blenheim. The traffic outside the gates was awful (ok so we left late but 2 hours to do 2 miles was a bit silly) inside the gates it was excellent. The problem appeared to be lack of control at junctions leading to a free for all.

Enough of the complaints, once inside what a wonderful atmosphere, the flying was excellent in difficult conditions, all of the family who came with me thought the music over the PA during the flying was excellent.

Heres the photos

Dennis Kenyon yet again did the impossible with a Helicopter, sadly he has only got 2 more displays after today. Then he retires.

Lovely stuff, Nick.

I love the rear view of the helicopter, it's a very nice shoot indeed.

Nick, Those are all wonderful as ever, but the Spit and Lanc shot left me open-mouthed :ok:

Do you have any more of the Great War team? Two of the SE5A pilots are known to me, and I'm certain they'd appreciate whatever you have.

The Sea Vixen and the Yaks display i thought were especially superb .

Fantastic photographs! How on earth did you get that shot with the Spitfire next to the Lanc? Superb!!!

It's nice to see that a simple PFA type can mix it with the war birds and look totally convincing :D (First two shots)

SS

Its cropped quite a lot but will still print at 7x5.

Sadly I dont have too much more of the Great War team as most of the action was quite a way away on the other side of the lake. The pilots were working quite hard as well given the conditions.

A fun display (shame the commentator didnt make more of it though).

Thanks, MOTF. I'll be sure that they know about the shots that you have posted.
