thanx for the gen guys, I am interested in any feedback about who you would RECOMMEND as a good outfit to work for. I'm EIR on the 737 and 767. I would prefer work in BNE (wouldnt we all?) but am considering SYD or MEL too.
any thoughts or tips would be much appreciated.

Qantas is getting rid of there 767 line and it's going to either Bribane,Melbourne,or Auckland.they will be deciding in the next few weeks,it will leave sydny on 2/2002.Until then they are still looking for people Lame's and Ame's.Lame's base is about $50,000 to $60,000 and Ame' is $32,000 Australian.Be warned they can be a furstrating company to work for.

Try anyone But Ansett. Virgin Blue, Impulse, Kendall, Qantas. All are recruiting except for Ansett which is doing absolutely nothing, except going down the tube.

pepsitop if your interested in training try forstaff, strong rumour is they will soon be running a B747-400 E&I course and indications are that current E&I licence levels are so low that with your creds. you may walk straight onto a course.

Virgin Blue now have 5 737-400's with a 6th maybe before x-mas. They have 10 737-700/800 on the way. The first to arrive in April next year. Their Maintenance is done through JetCare and your in luck as Virgin's only base is on Brisbane. Jetcare do have engineers in SYD, MEL and now Adelaide but the main contingency is in BNE!!
