Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone can suggest any skydiving schools who i could contact with a view to getting a weekend job as a pilot with them?

I am looking for somewhere in either the midlands (or close by) or somewhere near manchester.

I have my CPL and i have around 185 hours so far. I am currently training for my ME/IR towards gaining a frozen ATPL.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

i take it you have CPL plus 185 hours!!

Since you need 200hrs to apply for a licence

Nick,

You're talking cobblers, otherwise the majority of FTOs would never get their integrated grads jobs with about 160hrs. I had 167TT when my CPL was issued, and the regs haven't changed since then.

Aerofoil,

As for the job, try the para school at Tilstock near Shrewsbury. I know they've taken newbie CPLs in the past.

Perhaps confusing with the 100 PIC rule? Remember that licences gained on the integrated route have different minimum requirements than modular licences too.

As for the initial question: in my experience the only way to go about such things is to get your face known at the airfields in question. Doubtful any skydiving company is just going to call you up unseen based on an unsolicited CV through the post.

G'luck.
