Hello QA pilots.
any news about the new housing being built by QA. also how does the meal allowance work and how much F/O on A330 gets for meal amonth.... average... thank all.... safe flying all

hello Balsam,
I think the new pilots joining may receive a house or a flat if your are single. It may be a good idea due to the huge increase of rent here in doha, ..depending off course of the type of accomodation they give you! I heard is not that bad....
Meal allowance are calculated for each destination we go and each hotel. You will receive allowance for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, depending as well of the time you check in and out in the hotel.
Those allowance are paid together with you salary at the end of the month, they are calculated from the 15 to the 15 of each month.(for example for your july salary, you will receive meal allowance according the layover you did between the 15 of june and the 15 of july..and so..).
Donīt think you will make money on it..they are just calculated for a regular meal taking in the hotel.
Depending of your schedule you may get between 1500 and 2500 riyals/month for meal.(.....500...600 u$).
