Hi all!
A few questions to the group!
I am a professional musician, but a few years back took my PPL license, and really love flying!
I am considering going after a career in aviation, and realise that I will need to train for a frozen ATPL, and get my IR, CPL and multi licenses.
In my country, flight training is costly, however, I have come over schools in the Czeck republic that will set me back about half of what it would cost here.
Assuming this is a JAA school (they are), will I get a license there that will be just as good as getting a JAA license in Norway? Will I need converting (not sure why, if it's a JAA license)?
Anyone done any flight training in eastern Europe? Anything to recommend/stay away from?
Also, what would be a good route for a job after ATPL theory, IR, CPL and ME training?
Cargo freight in small carrier with Caravans maybe?
As far as I can tell, most airline jobs require 1500 + hours, plus type ratings on whatever airplane the job is for. Not really an option to me.....
Thanks for any replies,
Frode
