Has anyone out there actually got a JAR 66 ticket.

While doing my autopilot helicopter ticket with the CAA, I asked the question, How an engineer (sorry Technician)should go about renewing his Licence, as mine is due in September.

His reply was to select for the time being the licence your company wants.

But if I was to go for a JAR 66 B2 ticket the cost could be up to £450 as additional cost of Aircraft types are added on top of the basic fee.(He did say £450 was the max they could charge)

Has anyone managed to get their company to pay this sort of money?

I am hearing rumours that certain companies are at present backing away from this licence, due to cost. Is this TRUE or RUMOUR?
