hi everybody,
for information :)
on early july, air sénégal international received a brand new boeing 737-700 with blended winglets, 6V-AHU.
then, new destinations were opened as ACCRA, MILANO and MADRID.
The network is growing slowly (maybe to much) ...

So How many 737NG do they have now ?

is the 6V-AHK still with them or was it returned to RAM?

Any news of starting a transatlantic service to JFK ?

6V-AHK left the compagny in january 2005 and ASI get a 737-500 ( 6V-AHT) to replace it....
now, there are 3 737NG ( HN and HO that are leased)
moreover, there's a dash 8, 6V-AHL

total fleet number : 5 !! :)

best regards!!

Are the RAM seconded Captains still in DKR ?
Where is the 737-500 coming from ?

and wasn't the Dash 8 written off ?

Is Senegalese registered aircraft allowed into the UK now ?

Hey Gunsss

I don't see why brand spanking new 737NG's leased from GECAS be banned from UK airspace especialy that EU countries must share info about foreign carriers breaching safety standards and Air Senegal is approved to operate to France ...

Also think they train their crews ay GECAT in London...

Lo concordino,

Earlier this year SNA was in trouble with an aircraft lease and I remember them leasing / in the process of leasing one from Senegal and the UK Home Office stopped them right there.

Now I speak completely under correction - but that was the events as I was told and seen via mails.

Tx for the info.

Cheers,

Gunss

for the moment, ASI is not expecting to open lines to JFK, maybe next year...
the 737-500, was F-GYAM, coming from "air méditerranée" and i think it is leased from CIT
concerning the dash 8, it is in canada for maintenance purpose and it's supose to start flying again in early october...hope so...
