I am inquiring about the requirements for LIAT and if I need to convert my Canadian Commercial Licence in order to work in Antigua/Barbados.

Along with being a National of the area,

Minimum requirements are:
21 years of age.

5 C.X.C subjects including Mathematics and English, or their equivalent.

Be in possession of a current Antigua and Barbuda Commercial PIlot Licence with a valid Instrument Rating

Have passed the following CAA Aircraft General subsections: Turbines, Hydraulics, AC/DC Electrics, Air Conditioning and Pressurisation.

The Director of Civil Aviation also requires that applicants sucessfully complete all subjects of the Aircraft General Examination, with the exception of Supersonic flight.

Are you a caribbean National?
No = can't work for LIAT
Yes = Conversion exams need to be completed
Part 1 Generals (9 subjects)

How much to convert $15,000cdn?

I heard BWEE is now accepting ICAO licences. All you have to do is write the Trin & Tob Air law exam? Is this true?

Bwee is currently not accepting resumes but yes, if they were going to hire they would accept ICAO licenses as the CAA here just changed the laws in order to please the FAA so that we could get Category 1 back.
On the other hand if Bwee hires I'm sure there's a waiting line the size of the great wall of China! Still lots of unemployed pilots and employed pilots that would like to be Jet jocks.
