Can anyone advise whats involved in converting my Uk CPL (frozen ATPL) to a JAA Licence and what advatages it would have
If an airline states JAA required would this exclude me?
Thanks in advance

Hi
Have just recieved a letter from caa as my licence expires in sept.
As far as I can make out from the paper work its only going to cost you money. Now thats a shock.:D
However there is a section that states you do not get JAA ATPL theory credits, but that on gaining the requirements for a CAA ATPL issue the CAA will automatically issue a JAR ATPL based on your CAA credits.
.
Have to send your log book and a cheque for £194.00.
Personally I wouldnt bother if you dont have to renew it most jobs/ ads seem to only require a JAR member licence to apply and if required then just send off the money, money making scam by the CAA/JAA if you ask me
