Looking at that schedule, I'd probably suggest going by plane.

You're in the 'pax' section here mate. In this section it is mandatory to talk like a pax & NOT a pilot.

The codes given are IATA and not ICAO. The person has spoken like a pax and not a pilot.

Leave LHR am so you arrive in NRT in am. Do not sleep on flight. Sleep during day in NRT. Night flight to CNS will be a breeze and according to connections you will arrive in PNG still on UK time where you can adjust at leisure rather than trying to sleep on flights.
Can Recommend this hotel @ Narita

Da Dog!

" Avoid "the truck" on your stand over in NRT, apparently lots of violent aussies hang around gropping the women "

What a joke!!!!! I am crew that regularly visits Narita and have been to "The Truck" numerous times and the above statement is laughable! If you're going to start saying violent aussies i would take a look at the sign on the door when you next go there banning Air Pacific crew from entering due to their violent behaviour! There is only usually a handful of Aussies there at the most anyway, generally the place is overun by BA and Virgin Atlantic crew making fools of themselves and annoying American crew hogging the karaoke microphone.

What you have to understand is that "The Truck" is unofficially a airline crew bar. It is only small and quite honestly during the day looks as if homeless people live there, but unfortunately Narita isn't exactly a lively place, so most crew tend to congregate there.

As for the groping, nothing like it goes on!

Da Dog, you obviously haven't been there due to the "apparently" in your statement, so i suggest before you start posting negative comments, i would tend to get your facts right before you really offend someone.

OK - Now I'm confused!! Which is it?
I tried a search under EGGL ICAO (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=lang_en%7Clang_es&q=EGGL+ICAO&lr=lang_en%7Clang_es) and it throws up Heathrow on several sites - However Heathrow also shows up under EGLL? Does anybody have the definitive answer - If I'm going to have to eat crow, I'd like some time to marinade it first...

OZ crew ....................wondered how long it would take, now whos using the strong stroppy language.......... been to the truck lately, got aggressive:rolleyes:

Obviously I have never been there according to you...........just once a month for the last 6 months;)

Last violent unprovoked attack..............by an aussie left 1 person with a broken jaw and another with huge bump the result of being hit by a bottle................. but hey what would I know? I've never been there:ugh:

If the truck doesn't take your fancy you could always just hang around the lobby of the QF hotel. Apparently if the Ockers can't find anyone to jump in the truck they turn on each other and the flight home gets cancelled. Suppose it gives 'em another night to go the truck and find someone else to fight (or bravely hit from behind with a bottle then run away).
