Can't you do a JAR 66 conversion?

There is no procedure in the JAR's allowing conversion from any other type II licence issued outside of the JAR countries. You can only convert from Aus/NZ/FAA to the UK CAA LWTR at this stage, and you must have this done by 30MAY2001, when system converts to JAA in UK.
Hot off the press from UK CAA themselves (I enquired of my Aus licence two days ago).

You can get the info from the UK CAA web site also.
Cheers

Yes- that's my undestanding as well. Get the UK CAA LWTR now and then worry about the JAR (Bull***t) downstream. I gather talking to a few guys in the UK that most of the privaledges of a Licence will be taken over by Company approvals anyway......very similar to most other places in the world.

But back to my original post...anyone out there have a set of Reg Notes (Module 1) that I can borrow? [email protected]

Thanks

Good stuff SpannersATCX.

I'm currently on the CAA approved A&P course at Northbrook College, Shoreham Airport and as I am in the final term of classroom based study we have started Air Leg.

This will come in quite useful.

Once again thank you.

Greetings CX spanner man,

Will be starting career with CX at the end of the month. Currently reviewing for HK CAD leg's exams in June. Any notes you can pass to a future colleague? I've noticed some questions similar if not the same to module 1 of UKCAA.

Cheers.

MACDU, I shall try and find out for you. You should get a training package and 3 to 4 days trng in HKG on it all. Be aware that 3 of 6 recently failed, and it's not a breeze but with adequate preparation you should be ok.
