Hi .. was browsing their website when I came across the following.."RYANAIR ANNOUNCES PISA AS ITS 14th EUROPEAN BASE AND ADDS 3 NEW ROUTES TO DUBLIN, EINDHOVEN AND ALGHERO"

Now my question is... If Pisa is their 14th base, which base is their 13th?

There may not be one! You wouldn't want to be the bad luck 13th base would you?

Lubeck was announced but no routes listed

And it's possibly going to get pulled. I guess 13 was the unlucky number for Luebeck.

Why's Lubeck going to get pulled maybe?

Apparently, the deal was based on the company, Infratil, a New Zealand infrastructure fund company, being successful in acquiring a 90% stake in the airport and then gaining approval to extend the runway. It now seems that that the german courts have refused planning permission, at least for the time being, for such an extension to take place. As a result, the chances of Lubeck becoming a major ryan base are somewhat reduced.

Well, the court's decision has been very unfortunate for Luebeck. The airport was first there, the nature reserve was created afterwards (and cranes came to live in the bushes, very unfortunately indeed). I still hope Luebeck Airport keeps the chance it got, but if not... what place would become No 13 Ryanair's base? Any suggestions?
