Has anyone had any dealings with Direct Personnel International? Any horror stories and/or happy stories?

All info gratefully received!

My own personal experience has been mixed. I hate to say it, but since Jerry O'Sullivan left, Direct had been on a steady decline.

If you are looking at Direct in realtion to Air Atlanta, then don't expect any more than a paycheque. Air Atlanta is probably Direct's largest client and as such, AAI wields a great deal of influence with Direct. If there is a contactual dispute, don't expect Direct to back you up. They will give lip service to what a shame it is that AAI violated your contract, but that's it.

With other parties, Direct is more forthcoming and will hold all parties to the contract. And they will back you if you are in the right on any contractual/pay matters.

Hope that helps.

What Phil said.
They take their cut and are pretty much useless at helping you in any way.
They're better at paying on time compared to the other main contract company though.

Direct Personnel seems to have a memory loss. There is such a turnover at Direct you seem to have to fight for what was given to you with their prior personnel. They will tell you that what ever was promised to you by their past employee is no longer valid. Having said all that, they are better than Airbourne in my opinion. That tells you how bad Airbourne is. Bottom line is get everything in writing no matter how small it seems.

Will agree with all the above post.
They pay your basic salary on time, anything else forget it, constant battle.
Fight every month other than base pay.
If the airline sends you home and terminates your contract with 15 days pay as stated. ( Due to crew requirements)
Then the airline brings you back one month later under a new contract, they never pay the 15 day termination.
If you tell them that you are being forced to operate incorrectly they will instruct you in writing (e-mail) not to do this.then when the poblems result they will forget everything they wrote.
Many arguments could have been worked out between the airline in a civilized manner.
Not with these folks!
They were good while Jerry O. was there.
He would stand up for you and make things correct.
Now if you talk the walk and refuse to operate incorrectly they will not stand behind you even though they told you in writing to not operate this way.
They are only after the contract cut.
