I believe both airlines are going through expansion.

For information on salary etc see www.ppjn.com

I know someone at GB and he loves it. Good rostering and well looked after by the company.

There is ongoing recruitment at GB. Last I heard they were looking for 3000hrs + for fast track to command but may recruit people with less during the autumn.

On the BMed website I believe they were asking for 1500 hrs as a minimum but worth taking a look.

BMED is expanding by one aircraft per year for the next 3 years at least which means 14 to 20 pilots per year.

Time to command has been good in the past, getting longer now.

Destinations are interesting and some challenging.

Pay and allowances are on the low side but getting better. Scheduling agreement is much better than last year now that BALPA have got involved. A minimum of 10 days at home per month.

Some pilots leaving, mostly to BA and Virgin due to better pay and condistions.

New CEO and DFO to come will be interesting to watch.

Go to www.ppjn.com and flybmed.com for more info.
