From their website

GB Airways currently employs 184 Flight Crew. Our pilots are based at London Gatwick, London Heathrow and Manchester, operating a fleet of A320’s and A321’s.

We would like to invite applications from pilots that meet the following criteria:

* A minimum of 2000 hours total time to include 1500 commercial jet time.
* JAA ATPL
* MCC Qualified
* Right of abode in the EU

I was under the impression that this is a forum for those who is trying to get their first job, If we had those qualifications we where probably not looking for our first job.

Having a bad day (my vacation is ending today):{

By the way I see lots of job postings like this every week and even from the same companies repeatedly, if they need that many pilots and obviously do not get them, why do they not lower there demands.:confused:

I know someone who has been called for interview and although he has 2000 hours(barely), none of it is Jet.

Bottom line is folks that the industry is moving and jobs at the bottom of the ladder are opening up everyday. No excuses. Go and get one of them.

Well I know people who've gotten into GB fresh out of flying school, so their minimums as stated are clearly flexible :rolleyes:

Nothing to lose except the price of a stamp, by applying to them anyway.

From what I have heard the current high hours requirement is for a possible fast track to command. They appear to be quite short of captains at the moment. I think they will hire a few lower houred pilots in the autumn.

I know of at least three people who have recently joined who have probably had 1500-2000TT and all turboprop.
