Has anybody heard about the Nationwide B767 being grounded in LGW?

Saw a thread on "rumours and news". Some reckon it was brakes/undercarriage and some reckon engine problems. Maybe somebody from Nationwide can tell us whats really wrong.

A/c suffered an abandoned t/o close to V1 Sunday night,.Resultant stop overheated brakes & tyres. Awaiting rectification as of last night. Pax deplaned using steps & coaches. Well handled by all concerned.

Oh no. If VB doesn’t hire more fare paying crew, he will have to dig into his racing fund!

Take off rejected shortly before V1 due engine surge. This has occurred before with the P & W 4000 series engines. RTO well handled by crew. Engine has been replaced and flight leaves on schedule tonight (14 July) from Gatwick. No damage to landing gear or braking system - brakes stripped cleaned, checked and re-assemled. All's well

Great job to the crew involved :ok: . A situation well handled, guess all the time spent in the sim has payed off!

It must be quite a daunting task bringing 185 tonnes to a stop within the relatively short runway at LGW .

A big thumbs up to you!!!!;)

Note from F/O to be on lookout for stray mombies (apparently Zim slang for cow) ... note from Captain that pigs might fly ... maybe they do ?.

Thankfully not another tragic disaster at the "the black hole" ...

Sorry - wrong forum (pesky windows)
