Air Greenland has been awarded new contracts for helicopter distrikt service flights in Disko bay, Ammassalik & Constable Pynt area.

The company will be servicing the area population for passenger transport, mail & cargo with Bell 212, AS350 & S61 helicopters. The company has given the Greenlandic home rule government a very competitive offer for the next five years which the HRG has now accepted.

The company will have to add at least one B212 & S61 to itīs fleet as well as hire several additional helicopter pilots.

Am I correct in assuming that only Danish and/or Kalaallisut speaking pilots need apply?

Well I have never heard any requirements for Danish speaking only!

There used to be some english only speaking pilots at the company but they by now learned Danish.

But I guess the company would prefer pilots to speak the Danish language or any Scandinavian language (Not "NORDIC" so Icelandic donīt count ; )

But low timers need not apply, sorry :ugh:

edited for spelling.
