I thought the airport there was closed now, and the north of the Island now served by Ercan Airport?

Scheduled flights are operated by Cyprus Turkish Airlines (TKHY) to Ercan with a change of flight in Turkey from London, as well as other UK departure ponts.

Go to the following link:

CTA Holidays whom I have travelled with before from Belfast offers 'packages'. as well as from London, Manchester etc ...

It is not possible with current restrictions to fly 'non-stop' from outside Turkey to Northern Cyprus.

North Cyprus (Turkish bit), is not recognised internationally since the invasion by Turkey in the 1970's. Therefore all flights must route via a Turkish mainland airport before proceding anywhere else.

Ercan airport is just to the East of Nicosia and is not the same as the old Nicosia airport. It likes to think it 'controls' the airspace but while we talk to them as a courtesy for information the actaul 'controlling' over Cyprus and to/from Larnaca and Paphos is done by Nicosia (Greek part).
