Do you mean a job as a JAA Instructor in the UK or USA?

It's always possible to find a job as an FAA instructor here. If you specifically want to be a JAA instructor, you will need an unrestricted FI license to be hired i am thinking, since an FAA instructor can teach for JAA PPL, but not CPL.

an FAA instructor can teach for JAA PPL, but not CPL Who told you that? The only things that JAR-FCL says a non-JAA instructor cannot teach for are the JAA FI rating and the MCC (and the UK CAA even let them teach for the MCC).

maybe i didn't express it quite well.

A FAA instructor can teach JAA CPL, but (s)he has to have done a JAA-CPL-instructor course.

So yes, it is possible, but a course is required.
