View Full Version : Arran network changes

Hey there
2nd Jul 2005, 10:22
Some network changes afoot at RE coinciding with the conclusion of the Knock subsidy route which switches to Loganair from July 22.

The airline's desire to serve City of Derry seems to have evaporated now that they failed to get the LDY-DUB subsidy so both LDYBHX and LDYMAN will go. As mentioned elsewhere, Logan will take over MANLDY. Galway - Manchester seems to be taking up the slots freed up with the dropping of LDY.

Galway - Birmingham seems to be gone from the end of July. A bit surprised at that - maybe I didn't look far enough in their schedules?

Galway - Luton gets an early morning departure but still has a too-late return in the evening, ceding the day return market to Euromanx for the moment. Euromanx are becoming such a pain on GWY-LCY so Arran will hit them with a doubling of frequency on IOMDUB. RE's timings ex Dublin are not as good for business but they have the advantage in the evening. Gloves off!

Knock - Liverpool is, as expected, no longer available.

On the PSO front, Galway - Dublin is down to four per day, losing the 5th on three days per week, but probably all on ATR72's.
