Last time I was there Rumbek (HSMK) was RWY 01/19. 1400M and 1280 MSL. No Navaids or obstacles.....

Rumbek...Home of the coldest beers in Sudan!
Haven't been there for about a year but it's a good strip and the above info is about right. Some chaps were operating DC3's and Andovers into there...although not always succesfully!
If you're there, make sure to have lunch at the Afex camp next to the strip.:ok:

Heard things are changing fast in the area!! 6 months and your machine will fit in there!!
Appolo...Rumbek is a great place to be for a short tour...Afex has a good camp alongside the strip and UN has build next door..
01/19 , 1000m , Gravel/Dirt, THRD's are a little bumpy but still good enough for vans upto 748's.
Storms are fairly bad this time of the year...but HSMK handles fine...get good gen about the strips you are going to and watch out for the cotton-soil.
